What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury bed mattress under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.
Factors to consider: Ymh Saatva Code
The Saatva’s comfort system uses thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill take in some movement, reducing how much motion is felt across the surface of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some motion transfer when their partner changes position or gets up throughout the night due to the bed mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva absorbs somewhat more motion than the Luxury Firm and Company choices. While all of the Saatva firmness choices have pressure-relieving capacity, the amount of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the bed mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Plush Soft variation of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the very best balance of contouring and assistance from the Firm variation.
Keep in mind: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the distinctions listed below. We plan to test the brand-new variation soon and will update this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which may show valuable if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your needs change over time. This is not a traditionally soft mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for a number of weeks in my own home. These bed mattress were likewise assessed in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve interviewed ratings of specialists in the bed mattress market and in materials science; checked out dozens of bed mattress factories, showrooms, and stores; and pored over the small print on requirements, guarantees, and return policies. Most recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley evaluated the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for several weeks.

Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. But we do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column support”; we’re less amazed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and long lasting foams and coils.
