What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury bed mattress under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils offer the Saatva Classic an excellent amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.

Note: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the kind of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the differences listed below. We plan to check the new version soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is inherently durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove handy if you’re unsure what you prefer or if your requirements alter with time. This is not a conventionally cushy bed mattress, however it offers a flexible cushion, great edge support, and a subtle springiness. Provided its innate resilience, the Zenhaven should work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for several weeks in my own home. These bed mattress were likewise assessed in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff writer for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of experts in the bed mattress industry and in products science; checked out dozens of bed mattress factories, showrooms, and shops; and read the fine print on requirements, service warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for a number of weeks.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– numerous with a choice of firmness levels and dealing with practically every comfort choice– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Vs Bear
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. But we do know that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (rather than fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva touts such bonus as zoned layers for “optimum spine assistance”; we’re less impressed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and long lasting foams and coils.
