What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end bed mattress under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic an excellent quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.

Individuals who are quickly woken up when their partner stirs might discover the Saatva transfers more motion than perfect People who like the hug of memory foam may not feel the Saatva conforms closely adequate The Saatva’s convenience system uses thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid designs. Note: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the differences below. We plan to evaluate the new version soon and will update this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove useful if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a conventionally soft bed mattress, however it provides a supple cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for several weeks in my own home. These mattresses were also evaluated in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of professionals in the mattress industry and in products science; checked out dozens of bed mattress showrooms, shops, and factories; and pored over the fine print on requirements, service warranties, and return policies. Most recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for numerous weeks.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and catering to nearly every comfort choice– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Or Avocado Mattress
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid created for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. We do understand that the company utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only organic cotton (rather of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column assistance”; we’re less amazed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and resilient foams and coils.
