What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end bed mattress under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

Note: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; learn more about the distinctions below. We plan to evaluate the new version soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is intrinsically durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might prove valuable if you’re uncertain what you prefer or if your requirements alter with time. This is not a traditionally soft bed mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, great edge support, and a subtle springiness. Offered its inherent resilience, the Zenhaven must work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for a number of weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I have actually talked to ratings of experts in the mattress industry and in products science; gone to lots of mattress stores, factories, and display rooms; and read the small print on specs, service warranties, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley assessed the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for a number of weeks.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– lots of with a choice of firmness levels and dealing with practically every comfort preference– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Mattress Dealers Australia
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brands. But we do know that the business uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and just natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column support”; we’re less satisfied with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and resilient foams and coils.
