Saatva French Mattress – Bedding, Bed Frames & Bed Bases

We find Saatva’s mattresses to be amongst the most elegant-looking and thoughtfully developed alternatives available from an online company. We’ve also slept on the Saatva Latex Hybrid, and we’ve researched the parts and construction of the rest of the beds in Saatva’s lineup.

What mattress is better than Saatva?

Founded in 2010, Saatva concentrates on direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under 3 brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Between these 3 brand names, the business offers numerous mattress models, including the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Perfect for: People with more particular firmness preferences Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples trying to find a mix of pressure relief and bounce Many online bed mattress are hybrids or foams, so the Saatva Classic stands apart. It is among the few innerspring bed mattress you can conveniently purchase online. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a great quantity of bounce near the top, and a plush top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva likewise offers a generous 180-day trial period and simple returns.
Factors to consider: Saatva French Mattress
The Saatva’s comfort system uses thinner layers of foam than many hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill absorb some movement, minimizing how much movement is felt across the surface of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some movement transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up throughout the night due to the mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft variation of the Saatva soaks up slightly more motion than the Luxury Firm and Firm options. While all of the Saatva firmness choices have pressure-relieving potential, the amount of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Plush Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Company version.

Keep in mind: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the kind of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the differences listed below. We plan to check the new version quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.

The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove valuable if you’re not sure what you choose or if your requirements change over time. This is not a conventionally cushy bed mattress, however it offers a supple cushion, excellent edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.

For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for several weeks in my own house. These bed mattress were likewise evaluated in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of specialists in the mattress industry and in materials science; visited lots of bed mattress display rooms, factories, and shops; and pored over the small print on requirements, service warranties, and return policies. Most recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for a number of weeks.

Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and catering to practically every comfort choice– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva French Mattress
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid created for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brand names. But we do understand that the business utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (rather than fiberglass or chemicals) and only organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva promotes such bonus as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column assistance”; we’re less amazed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
