What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under 3 brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic an excellent amount of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.
Considerations: Saatva Black Friday
The Saatva’s comfort system uses thinner layers of foam than many hybrid models. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill take in some movement, reducing how much movement is felt across the surface of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some motion transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up during the night due to the bed mattress’s two layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft variation of the Saatva takes in somewhat more motion than the High-end Company and Firm choices. While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving capacity, the amount of pressure relief that a private experiences on the bed mattress will vary based partially on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Plush Soft variation of the mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Company variation.
Note: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, altering the kind of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the differences below. We plan to evaluate the brand-new version quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is intrinsically durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which may prove valuable if you’re not exactly sure what you prefer or if your needs change gradually. This is not a conventionally cushy bed mattress, however it provides a supple cushion, excellent edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Offered its inherent resilience, the Zenhaven should work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
These mattresses were likewise evaluated in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of specialists in the bed mattress market and in materials science; checked out dozens of bed mattress factories, display rooms, and shops; and pored over the fine print on requirements, guarantees, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– numerous with an option of firmness levels and dealing with practically every convenience preference– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Black Friday

Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brands. We do know that the business uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (rather of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spine assistance”; we’re less impressed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
