What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under three brand: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Between these 3 brand names, the business offers several mattress models, including the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Suitable for: Individuals with more specific firmness preferences Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples looking for a combination of pressure relief and bounce A lot of online mattresses are hybrids or foams, so the Saatva Classic stands out. It’s one of the few innerspring bed mattress you can easily purchase online. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic a good amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva also provides a generous 180-day trial period and easy returns.
Considerations: Saatva Bed Frame Reviews
The Saatva’s convenience system utilizes thinner layers of foam than many hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam integrated with the Euro-top’s fiber fill take in some movement, lowering how much motion is felt across the surface area of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some movement transfer when their partner modifications position or gets up throughout the night due to the mattress’s 2 layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva takes in a little more motion than the Luxury Company and Company options. While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving potential, the quantity of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. Individuals who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most pressure relief on the Plush Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the very best balance of contouring and support from the Company variation.
Keep in mind: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the differences below. We plan to check the brand-new version quickly and will update this guide with our impressions.
The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might show valuable if you’re not sure what you choose or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a conventionally cushy bed mattress, however it provides a supple cushion, great edge support, and a subtle springiness.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for several weeks in my own home. These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam mattresses and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve interviewed scores of professionals in the bed mattress market and in products science; gone to lots of bed mattress factories, showrooms, and shops; and pored over the small print on specs, service warranties, and return policies. Most recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for a number of weeks.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. We do know that the business utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and just organic cotton (rather of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva promotes such extras as zoned layers for “ideal spine assistance”; we’re less pleased with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and resilient foams and coils.
