What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end bed mattress under three brand name names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils offer the Saatva Classic an excellent amount of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

Note: Saatva recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now features Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the distinctions below. We prepare to check the brand-new version soon and will update this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is inherently durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may show handy if you’re not exactly sure what you choose or if your needs change over time. This is not a traditionally cushy bed mattress, but it offers a supple cushion, good edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Provided its inherent toughness, the Zenhaven needs to work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for a number of weeks in my own home. These mattresses were also evaluated in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of experts in the bed mattress market and in products science; checked out lots of mattress shops, factories, and showrooms; and pored over the fine print on requirements, guarantees, and return policies. Most recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley evaluated the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for several weeks.
Understanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– lots of with a choice of firmness levels and accommodating nearly every comfort choice– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva 11.5 Vs 14.5
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid created for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. We do know that the company utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (rather of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such bonus as zoned layers for “optimal spine assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and resilient foams and coils.
