What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils provide the Saatva Classic a great amount of bounce near the top, and a plush top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is provided by movers, rather than in a box.
Considerations: Reviews For Saatva Plush Soft Mattress
The Saatva’s comfort system utilizes thinner layers of foam than many hybrid designs. These thinner layers of foam combined with the Euro-top’s fiber fill absorb some motion, minimizing how much movement is felt throughout the surface area of the bed. Sleepers may still experience some motion transfer when their partner changes position or gets up throughout the night due to the mattress’s two layers of springs. Thanks to its softer feel, the Plush Soft version of the Saatva soaks up a little more movement than the Luxury Company and Company options. While all of the Saatva firmness alternatives have pressure-relieving capacity, the amount of pressure relief that a private experiences on the bed mattress will differ based partly on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Luxurious Soft version of the bed mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and assistance from the Firm version.
Keep in mind: Saatva just recently updated the Zenhaven, changing the type of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; find out more about the differences listed below. We plan to test the brand-new variation quickly and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists primarily of latex, which is intrinsically resilient. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which might show useful if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your needs change with time. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, but it uses a supple cushion, excellent edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Given its innate sturdiness, the Zenhaven must work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
These bed mattress were likewise evaluated in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve interviewed scores of experts in the mattress industry and in materials science; visited dozens of bed mattress shops, display rooms, and factories; and pored over the fine print on requirements, service warranties, and return policies.

We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brands. We do know that the company uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spinal column support”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and durable foams and coils.
