What mattress is better than Saatva?
Founded in 2010, Saatva focuses on direct-to-consumer luxury mattresses under three trademark name: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Between these three brands, the company sells several bed mattress models, consisting of the all-foam Loom & Leaf;& Leaf; the latex Zenhaven; the airbed, Solaire; and the hybrid Saatva. Suitable for: Individuals with more specific firmness preferences Sleepers of any size and sleep position Those who tend to sleep hot Couples trying to find a mix of pressure relief and bounce The majority of online mattresses are foams or hybrids, so the Saatva Classic stands apart. It is among the few innerspring mattresses you can easily buy online. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic an excellent quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top includes softness. As with all of the Saatva Business’s bed mattress, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box. Saatva also provides a generous 180-day trial duration and simple returns.

While all of the Saatva firmness options have pressure-relieving potential, the quantity of pressure relief that an individual experiences on the bed mattress will differ based partially on their weight and sleep position. People who weigh under 130 pounds will likely experience the most push relief on the Luxurious Soft version of the mattress, while sleepers over 230 pounds will likely get the best balance of contouring and support from the Firm variation.
Keep in mind: Saatva just recently upgraded the Zenhaven, changing the kind of latex used in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the distinctions below. We prepare to check the brand-new variation soon and will update this guide with our impressions.

The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is intrinsically resilient. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might show handy if you’re not sure what you choose or if your needs alter in time. This is not a conventionally soft mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, good edge support, and a subtle springiness. Provided its natural durability, the Zenhaven ought to work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.

For this review, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for several weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve interviewed scores of professionals in the mattress market and in materials science; gone to lots of bed mattress factories, shops, and display rooms; and pored over the small print on specs, warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her house for a number of weeks.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. However we do understand that the company utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and just natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column assistance”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
